Who are we?

Based in Morgantown, WV, our club is affiliated with Toastmasters International, a 75-year old organization dedicated to improving speaking and leadership skills.   Our club's membership includes members of the WVU academic community (students, faculty, staff), community members and government professionals.

What can we offer you?

Through participation in our club meetings, members learn to overcome their fear of public speaking, improve their communication and leadership skills, sharpen talents they already have, and help fellow club members to achieve similar goals.  An individual's progress is self-paced, through a series of ten structured speech assignments.

When and where do we meet

First and third Thursday of each month at 7:00 PM at at Ruby Memorial Hospital on the 4th floor in Conference Rooms 7 & 8 (near cafeteria)   Morgantown, WV  26501.

What does it cost?

Our club is an affordable way to empower yourself. If you decide to join our club, there is a one time $20.00 initiation fee and annual dues of $46.00 collected in $23.00 increments twice per year.  For the initiation fee, you will receive all manuals, and instructions sheets, plus a year's subscription to the monthly "The Toastmaster" magazine.

Mountaineer Toastmasters is one of more than 10,000 Toastmasters Clubs around the world. Our Club Mission is to provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every member has an opportunity to develop Communication and Leadership Skills which in turn fosters self-confidence and personal growth.
